Taylor High School’s Rylee Michna added another major accolade to her decorated career, as she was named the 2024–25 Girls Tennis Player of the Year at the Austin Area High School Sports Awards on Monday night.
Michna, who recently captured her third career state championship, was selected from among the top tennis players across Central Texas. The honor highlights her dominance on the court and shines a spotlight on Taylor High School’s athletic success.
The junior standout finished the 2024 season undefeated at 23-0, claiming district, regional and state titles without dropping a match. Her latest state championship capped off a historic year and continued a legacy of excellence that has made her one of the most decorated athletes in school history.
With one more season ahead, Michna will enter her senior year as a three-time state champion and one of the top returning players in Texas.
