TAYLOR POLICE DEPARTMENT ARREST REPORT

It is important to note that an arrest should not be considered as evidence of guilt. The defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

JUNE 23

Police at 9:49 a.m. detained a 40-year-old man in the 500 block of South Main Street after learning he was wanted on an outstanding Taylor warrant charging him with assault with injury/ family violence, a Class A misdemeanor.

JUNE 24

Officers dispatched at 2:47 a.m. to the 1900 block of Canvas Back Drive for a report of an assault said a 40-yearold man was suspected of injuring a household member. The suspect “also forcibly caused the victim to be moved out of the residence,” officers said. He was placed under arrest and charged with assault with injury/ family violence and unlawful restraint, both Class A misdemeanors.

At 12:46 a.m. in the 4300 block of North Main Street, officers took a 30-year-old man into custody after witnesses said he caused a disturbance.

The individual was placed under arrest and booked for public intoxication, a Class C misdemeanor.

JUNE 25

A 72-year-old man suspected of giving himself a five-finger discount — shoplifting — at Walmart was arrested at 6:59 p.m. at 3701 N. Main St. and charged with theft over $100, a Class B misdemeanor.

JUNE 26

A disturbance at 8:13 p.m. in the 400 block of West Seventh Street ended with a 47-year-old man headed to the county lockup and charged with public intoxication, a Class C misdemeanor.

JUNE 27

At 1:23 p.m. in the 1700 block of Davis Street, police escorted a 26-year-old man to Taylor Municipal Court to address an outstanding Class C misdemeanor warrant for no driver’s license. Police at 7:06 p.m. in the 600 block of West Seventh Street picked up a man wanted on an outstanding warrant out of Taylor for violation of a protective order, a Class A misdemeanor.
