The Taylor Lady Ducks volleyball program will host back-toback scrimmage days on Friday, Aug. 8, and Saturday, Aug. 9, as the team prepares for the upcoming 2025 regular season.

All three Taylor teams — varsity, junior varsity and freshman — will be in action across both days. The Lady Ducks will face Elgin, Killeen Chaparral and Little River-Academy in the multi-team scrimmage event.

Each Taylor squad is scheduled to open play against Elgin before taking on Chaparral.

Scrimmage action will conclude with matchups against Academy.

The varsity Lady Ducks are looking to turn the page after a difficult 2024 campaign in which they finished 6-29 overall and 2-10 in district competition. With a new season on the horizon, Taylor hopes to rebound behind the leadership of several returning players.

Key returners include senior setter Peyton Wamble, junior outside/middle hitter Tiana Candee and junior libero McKenna Watson — all of whom played significant roles last season and are expected to anchor the team on both sides of the net.

Taylor will officially kick off the 2025 regular season at home on Monday, Aug. 12, with a non-district matchup against Rockdale. First serve is scheduled for 6 p.m. at Taylor High School.
