JULY 15
At 5:46 a.m. in the 500 block of South Main Street, Taylor police arrested a 46-year-old man charged in a warrant with injury to a child/ disabled person, a third-degree felony.
JULY 16
At 7:34 a.m. in the 200 block of Doak Street, law officers apprehended a 29-year-old Taylor man wanted by the U.S.
Marshal’s Office on a warrant charging him with probation violation-smuggling of persons.
JULY 17
A 52-year-old Taylor woman had the book thrown at her after Taylor police at 3:38 p.m. picked her up in the 200 block of South Dolan Avenue.
According to officers, she was wanted on 14 Class C misdemeanor warrants out of Taylor: unlawful restraint of animal, four counts; no proof of rabies vaccine, three counts; no city license tag for animal, two counts; no driver’s license, two counts; failure to keep dog/cat from running at large; failure to maintain financial responsibility; and failure to register vehicle.
JULY 20
At 9:01 a.m., Taylor police responded to the 400 block of T.H. Johnson Drive after a shoplifting incident was reported at Walmart. Officers found and tried to detain a 25-year-old Taylor man, who ran away. Police caught up to him and charged him with theft under $100, a Class C misdemeanor, and evading arrest on foot, a Class B misdemeanor.
