JULY 28
At 8:10 a.m., officers with the Taylor Police Department responded to a call about a man pointing a firearm at another person in the 900 block of Rio Grande Street. When they arrived, police saw a 27-year-old Taylor man pointing a gun at a person at the residence.
The gunman complied with commands to drop the weapon and was charged with deadly conduct, a Class A misdemeanor. He also had two outstanding Class C misdemeanor warrants out of Taylor: driving without lights when required, and theft less than $100.
JULY 30
At 10:36 a.m., Taylor police arrested a 60-year-old Taylor man at Main Street Commons, 3700 N. Main St., on two outstanding warrants: assault with injury/ family violence, a Class A misdemeanor out of Taylor, and parole violation- robbery/ delivery of a controlled substance, a second-degree felony issued at the behest of the Texas Pardons and Paroles Board in Austin.
AUG. 1
At 9:41 a.m., a 27-year-old Taylor man behind bars in the Williamson County Jail in Georgetown was served with three outstanding warrants out of Taylor: burglary of a vehicle, a Class A misdemeanor; and two criminal mischief charges, both Class B misdemeanors. He was incarcerated at the time on charges unrelated to the latest offenses.
