The Taylor Lady Ducks varsity volleyball team opened the 202526 season with a dominant 3-0 sweep over Rockdale on Tuesday, Aug. 12, at Taylor High School. It marks the third straight year Taylor has won its season opener.
After falling behind 11-7 in the first set, the Lady Ducks surged back and controlled the match the rest of the way.
Taylor was led by strong performances from senior libero McKenna Watson, senior setter Peyton Wamble, senior middle hitter Elena Martinez and junior hitter Tiana Candee, who each played key roles in the sweep.
The Lady Ducks are currently competing in the Westwood Tournament this weekend as they look to build on their strong start.
