The Granger Lady Lions varsity volleyball team saw their seven-match district winning streak come to an end with a 3-1 loss to the Thorndale Lady Bulldogs on Tuesday, Oct. 14 Granger dropped the opening set 25-21 before bouncing back with a strong 25-18 win in the second to even the match at one set apiece. The Lady Lions battled closely in the third set but fell, 25-23 and Thorndale sealed the victory with a 25-15 win in the
fourth. With the loss, Granger split the regular- season series with the Lady Bulldogs after previously sweeping Thorndale 3-0 earlier in district play. Despite the setback, the Lady Lions remain atop the district standings and will look to get back on track in their upcoming matchups against Holland and Milano.
Granger will travel to Milano on Tuesday, Oct. 21, for a 6 p.m. district contest.
