The Taylor Ducks varsity volleyball team fell 3-0 to Burnet on Tuesday, Oct. 14, dropping to 9-21 overall and 2-7 in district play. The Ducks currently sit sixth in the standings.
Taylor dropped the first set 25-15 before losing the second 25-14 and the third 25-13. The Ducks trail fourth-place Marble Falls by two matches with three remaining on their schedule.
Taylor will likely need to win out to avoid missing the postseason for the second straight year. Senior Peyton Wamble and junior Tianna Candee lead the team in kills, while senior McKenna Watson paces the squad in digs.
The Ducks looked to rebound against Gateway Prep before traveling to face Marble Falls on Tuesday, Oct. 21, at 6 p.m.
