The Taylor Ducks varsity soccer programs opened the 2026 season last week.
The boys team tied Seguin 3-3 on Friday, Jan. 2 before defeating Canyon Lake 4-2 on Tuesday, Jan. 6.
The Ducks moved to 1-0-1 on the season and competed in the Waco Tournament over the weekend returning to action on the road against La Grange on Tuesday, Jan. 13, at 7 p.m.
The girls team fell to Rouse 9-0 on Jan. 2 before bouncing back with a 5-2 victory over Eastside Early College on Jan. 6.
Sophomore Kinzie Johnson led the Lady Ducks against the Panthers with two goals, while sophomore Samantha Schroeder added one goal and two assists.
Freshmen Sunny Paulson and Catalina Valverde each scored the first goals of their high school careers.
The Lady Ducks will compete in the Midway Tournament in Waco this weekend before returning home to host La Grange at 7:15 p.m.
