Marching into gold

The Taylor High School Band and Guard placed in many categories in their last two competitions.

In the Seguin Marching Festival, the Taylor Ducks won First Place 4A Band and First Place 4A Guard. Taylor was the only 4A school in the finals, out of eight bands.

During the Hill Country Marching Festival in Fredericksburg, Taylor won First Place 4A Overall, Best Music, Best Marching, Best Color Guard, Best Drum Majors, Best Front Ensemble and Best Drumline.

The band’s next competition is at the Lost Pines Marching Festival Oct. 7 at 1:45 p.m. in the Bastrop Memorial Stadium, 755 TX-21, Cedar Creek. Admission tickets are $10.
