For the first time in many years, there are new herbicide active ingredients registered for weed control in pasture and rangelands. Some of the most effective weed control products must be applied very early in spring to small weeds, and in some instances even before weed seeds germinate. On Feb. 2, a member of a group of Granger High School boys athletics players and outdoor adventures course students visits a Granger resident before Winter Storm Landon came through the area. The students partnered together to help the community by visiting many Granger door steps. The young men offered assistance by aiding people with various winterizing tasks to prepare for the winter storm closed much of the area down Feb. 3-4.
