Cynthia Rene Hehmann, 68, of Taylor passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family on Monday, May 4, 2026.

Cynthia Rene Hehmann, 68, of Taylor passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family on Monday, May 4, 2026.

Cynthia Rene Hehmann was born on March 11, 1958, in Baytown to Billy and Shirley (Ging) Townsend. She grew up with one younger brother, Kenneth.

Cindy graduated from Taylor High School in 1976. She married her high school sweetheart, Randy Hehmann, on June 10, 1978, at the Brethren Church in Taylor.

To this marriage came two children: Dawn and Keith. Cindy worked for Taylor ISD for 29 years until retirement.

Cindy loved babysitting her grandchildren and when they were older, teaching them to paint and do arts and crafts. Cindy was a member of the Prince of Peace choir because she loved to sing.

She was a firefighter and first responder with the Thrall Volunteer Fire Department for 10 years until her health would no longer allow. Above all, Cindy treasured her family, friends and the Lord.

Cindy is preceded in death by her parents. Cindy is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Randy; children, Dawn (Troy) Hirsch, Keith (Ashlee) Hehmann; five grandchildren Bryson, Alyssa, Payton, Hayden and Presley; brother Kenneth (Lisa) Townsend; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

She will be laying in state at Providence Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 3101 CR 417, Taylor.

Pastor Micheal Albrecht officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church.
