A Taylor Press online story May 12 headlined “Legislation could give property owners near Samsung more of a say” referenced an email by Taylor Assistant City Manager Tom Yantis that had some words missing in the last sentence. The sentence should have read: “I would be happy to discuss other properties that are within the city’s intended growth areas and how we could work with you on plans for a housing development in one of those areas.” 05/24/2023 04:31 PM

Chamber Talk Part 2
Boles details county’s road projects at Chamber luncheon Until recently, most new road construction was focused on western Williamson County, but these days you’d be hard pressed to find a thoroughfare not being worked on in and around the Taylor/Hutto area, an elected official said. On Monday, May 15, Williamson County Precinct 4 Commissioner Russ Boles said the county is committed to road development in our area to accommodate the explosive growth associated with Samsung Austin Semiconductor and other factors during this month’s Taylor Chamber of Commerce’s luncheon at the Taylor Mansion Estate & Crystal Ballroom. 05/24/2023 07:31 AM

Will the third time be a charm? At their regular meeting May 25, the Taylor City Council will consider approving a controversial events policy that has been tabled twice in the face of pushback from Christian groups who have charged that the new regulation is aimed to discriminate against their rights. “This policy is needed because we did not have one,” said city spokeswoman Stacey Osborne. 05/24/2023 07:31 AM
