Hutto’s Hippo gets her own book
HUTTO – Henrietta Hippo’s adventure started in 1915 and is commemorated with thousands of hippo statues situated throughout the city. Although Taylor’s two parades are over — one billed as holiday procession focused on inclusivity, the other featuring family and biblical values — the controversy continues to brew. HUTTO – The halls of Hutto High School were booming Monday, Dec. 5 with a hallway pep rally celebrating the 2022 UIL State Championship Competition of Best of Texas Robotics. The reason for the celebration, Hutto ISD is once again home to a state championship Robotics UIL title. The UIL competition was held Dec. 1-3 in Frisco. Over the weekend, the Hutto High School Robotics Team, RoboCo XI, won the gold medal. 12/10/2022 07:13 AM

Artists sought for city public art project
Do you have a fun idea for an art piece to be displayed in city parks? Artists are sought for The Taylor Public Arts Advisory Board’s Portal Project, which is a fun and creative way to bring art to unexpected community areas, such as the hike and bike trail, by decorating the elevated manhole covers along the route.
